A car that won't start is never convenient. The cause might be the battery, the alternator that charges it, the starter, or a corroded cable. Coastal air can speed up corrosion on terminals, too. We test before we replace.
Common signs & symptoms

- Battery that's several years old or keeps needing a jump
How we handle it
We test the battery's condition, measure charging output, check the starter circuit and inspect cables and terminals. If the battery is fine and something else is draining it, we'll say so rather than sell you a battery you don't need.
Good to know
If your car needs a jump more than once, have the charging system tested. A weak alternator will keep killing new batteries.
